In 2002 I attended my very first Elvis Week; just two years before I had made my first trip to Graceland as a summer visitor. I knew 2002 would be different because it was the 25th Anniversary of Elvis' passing. In 2002 I was drastically turned from an Elvis fan into an Elvis "Lifer". Over the next two years following that amazing Elvis Week I kicked myself for missing the 2003 celebration. However, with 2004 on the horizon I soon graduated high school and by the beginning of summer I moved myself to Memphis, TN from a much smaller city in Colorado. I was 17, I was without family and friends but I became a tour guide at Graceland and began school that fall at the University of Memphis. I would learn more than I ever had about Elvis and take back precious memories of my new found friends and my adopted home of Memphis. Despite my happiness one thing was clear, finishing college to go further than just a tour guide with Elvis Presley Enterprises; but this could only truly be accomplished by returning home first. After returning home I promised myself to work hard in school and move back right after I finished but every year until I could officially reunite with Memphis; to attend every Elvis Week celebration. And so...with one year of school left I have done just that and Elvis Week 2008 will be my final celebration as a native of Colorado; by 2009 I hope to be a Memphian and re-employed with EPE to help continue and enhance the incredible legacy of Elvis Aaron Presley. I hope enjoy my memories...

Best Wishes,
